Press release, Skellefteå, September 26, 2022: IT consulting company Data Ductus has a mission to drive the development of climate-smart digitalization to help speed up the transition to a sustainable society. To facilitate this, the company has recruited Joacim Lindström as its new Head of Sustainability. He joined Data Ductus from Optronic, where he held multiple senior positions. As the new Head of Sustainability, Joacim will also be responsible for Quality.
Speaking about the recruitment, Data Ductus CEO, Rickard Åström says, “As IT consultants, we have a lot to contribute towards climate transition. We must, of course, review our own footprint, but we can make a far bigger impact by developing more climate-friendly innovative, digital solutions for our clients. I see great potential for business development in this area.”
Joacim Lindström joined the company from Optronic, a leading service company to optical metrology manufacturers, where he was the Finance and Quality Manager. In this role he was also responsible for sustainability and IT. He has also worked as an Operations Consultant and Project Manager at SYSteam/EVRY. Joacim is a qualified Civil Engineer with an MBA in Business Development and IT from the Stockholm School of Economics.
“Digitalization can contribute to sustainability in many ways,” says Joacim. “There is much to do in this area, and I’m really looking forward to initiating and driving our program forward together with my new colleagues.”
Joacim Lindström took up his new role at Data Ductus on 12 September. “I’m delighted to welcome Joacim to the company,” continues Rickard Åström. “His extensive experience and broad background with both product and service companies will bring a new and valuable perspective to the organization as we increase our focus on sustainability,” he concludes.
