Press release, Skellefteå, March 17, 2022: Rickard Åström has been appointed as the new President and CEO of global IT consulting company, Data Ductus. Previous to this, he has been the CEO of Fotonic and Optronic, and held senior positions at Veoneer and Autoliv. He succeeds Stefan Lundström, who was the company’s President and CEO for the past ten years.
Talking about his new role, Rickard Åström says “I’m inspired and motivated to lead Data Ductus as they expand on all fronts. I have followed the company’s development from a customer perspective for several years, and have always been impressed by their skilled consultants and innovative solutions. To continue the impressive growth trajectory, I will make sure we recruit the most talented and skilled people to our offices both here in Sweden and internationally.”
“We will also strengthen our expertise through strategic acquisitions and have recently begun a number of interesting investments in, for example, sustainability. We have an exciting future ahead of us,” he continues.
Since its inception, Data Ductus, which is headquartered in Skellefteå, northern Sweden, has had a strong growth rate both in Sweden and internationally. Today, the company has 250 employees, offices in eight cities in Sweden, and operations in the USA and Asia. Now the focus is on taking the next step in the company’s expansion plan.
The outgoing President and CEO Stefan Lundström will take on a new leadership role within the Group. “I am looking forward to continuing to develop Data Ductus’ strong offering together with the team, while building on our inclusive and value-driven culture,” says Stefan Lundström.
Rickard Åström took on the role of Data Ductus President and CEO on 14 March.
